Rylie Severson Presents CARESTREAM at Annual Education Symposium

Rylie Severson presenting at the Annual Education Symposium

At the 2026 College of Medicine Annual Education Symposium on January 28, Rylie Severson, a research assistant in the lab, presented on the CARESTREAM program as a tool for enhancing undergraduate readiness for health professions. This year’s conference theme, “Navigating Change with Purpose”, highlighted work in artificial intelligence, medical education research, teaching innovation, and trainee advancement.

Her presentation explored how CARESTREAM helps to bridge gaps in undergraduate preparation by giving students opportunities to integrate classroom-based health systems science knowledge with real, patient-facing clinical experience. This program continues to support students as they prepare for healthcare careers while also contributing to health systems through meaningful student-driven work.
