Leading Improvement-Focused Teams

Regional Quality Improvement (QI) Hub

The QI Hub is a collaborative initiative led by The Ohio State University College of Medicine (COM) as part of a statewide effort to strengthen quality improvement (QI) capacity and advance population-level health outcomes. By connecting resources and expertise, we aim to transform clinical practice and promote health equity across Ohio.

The Need:

There is a disconnect between existing College of Medicine resources and population-level improvement, especially health equity.

QI Hub

The Solution:

The QI Hub is a statewide effort supported by the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC). OSU is one of 6 participating COMs. The team is working to establish QI infrastructure and collaborate between COMs to leverage the impact of existing resources to achieve population-level improvements, especially health equity-focused based on each region’s needs.

QI Hub has three main goals:

  1. Create a QI Training System housed within the College of Medicine. Ready to build your skills?
    1. Explore the QI Training System
  2. QI Operational Infrastructure within our system and beyond (OSU + Regional partners)
  3. QI Project – Hypertension Management in Primary Care
